RH valve seals

  1. Remove the air cleaner and air cleaner inlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
  2. Remove the RH valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover - RH  in this article.
  3. Remove the cooling fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING article.
  4. Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to GENERATOR AND REGULATOR article.
  5. Install the special tools.

  6. Remove the 4 exhaust manifold-to-exhaust Y-pipe nuts.

  7. CAUTION: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.

  8. Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.
  9. CAUTION: Only use hand tools when removing the engine support insulator nuts or damage to the engine support insulators can occur.
    NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.

  10. Remove the 3 RH engine support insulator nuts, and only loosen the 3 LH engine support insulator nuts.
  11. Using the special tools, raise the engine.
