Crankshaft Rear Seal: Installation

    NOTE: Lubricate the crankshaft rear seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.

  1. Using the special tools, install a new crankshaft rear seal.
    2. NOTE: Lubricate the crankshaft oil slinger with clean engine oil prior to installation.

  2. Using the special tools, install a new crankshaft oil slinger.
  3. Install the engine rear cover plate.
  4. Install the flexplate or flywheel. For additional information, refer to Flexplate  or Flywheel  in this article.
