- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES article.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Disconnect the engine oil temperature (EOT) sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the EOT sensor. Discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb-ft).
- Install a new O-ring seal. Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
