Removal And Installation

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
- Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding in this article.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose.
- Remove the retaining clips and disconnect the transmission cooler tube support brackets.
- Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission cooler tubes.
- Disconnect the upper radiator hose and the radiator overflow hose.
- Remove the 2 bolts and separate the cooling fan shroud from the radiator.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
- Remove the 4 bolts and the 2 radiator support brackets.
- To install, tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb-in).
- Remove the 4 pin-type retainers and pull back the sight shield.
- Disconnect the 3 pin-type retainers and 2 wiring harness retainers. Position the cable so that the radiator can be moved forward.
- Remove the radiator assembly.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check and top off the transmission fluid level.
