Pinpoint Test G: The Non-DIMMABLE Illumination Is Inoperative

CAUTION:
Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
- G1 CHECK DELAY ACCESSORY RELAY COIL GROUND CIRCUIT
- Disconnect: CJB C270e
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the resistance between the CJB C270e-21, circuit 1332 (LB), harness side and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- G2 CHECK THE DELAY ACCESSORY RELAY
- Key in OFF position.
- Carry out the mini-ISO relay test for the delay accessory relay. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING.
- Is the delay accessory relay OK?
- YES : Go to G4.
- NO : INSTALL a new delay accessory relay. TEST the system for normal operation.
- G3 CHECK CIRCUIT 54 (LG/YE) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Audio Unit (XLT, FX4, Lariat) C290a
- Measure the resistance between the CJB C270e-13, circuit 54 (LG/YE), harness side and the audio unit C290a-2, circuit 1332 (LB) harness side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- YES : REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS article for continued diagnosis of the audio unit.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- G4 CHECK CIRCUIT 1332 (LB) FOR AN OPEN
- Disconnect: Instrument Cluster C220b
- Measure the resistance between the CJB C270e-21, circuit 1332 (LB), harness side and the instrument cluster C220b-5, circuit 1332 (LB) harness side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- YES : INSTALL a new instrument cluster. REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER article.
- NO : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
