Window Glass Adjustment - Front Door

NOTE: A misadjusted front window glass may cause a customer concern of slow power window travel when raising the window.
  1. If equipped with power windows, remove the window control switch. For additional information, refer to Window Control Switch - Front  in this article.
  2. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  3. Position aside the front door watershield.
  4. Temporarily install the window control switch or the window crank and lower the window to access the glass-to-regulator assembly bolts.
  5. Loosen the front door window glass-to-regulator assembly bolts.
  6. Push the glass up into the header by hand, then shift the glass rearward until it stops against the rear window run seal while lowering the glass back down into the window glass clamps.
  7. NOTE: Make sure the window glass is seated in the bottom of the glass clamps.
  8. Tighten the front door window glass-to-regulator assembly bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  9. Install the watershield.
  10. Install the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION article.
  11. If equipped with power windows, install the window control switch. For additional information, refer to Window Control Switch - Front  in this article.
