WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Ford Pickup. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan can cause engine failure.
  1. Remove the valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover - LH  or Valve Cover - RH  in this article.
  2. CAUTION: If the rocker arms are to be reused, they must be installed in their original locations. Mark the rocker arms for location.
  3. Remove the bolts, the rocker arm pivots and the rocker arms.
  4. Inspect the rocker arms. For additional information, refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION article.
