Both sides

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING article.
  3. Remove the radiator site shield.

  4. Remove the bolts and position the fan shroud on the fan.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

  5. Remove the LH engine support insulator through bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 350 Nm (258 lb-ft).
  6. CAUTION: Make sure the RH engine support insulator mating surfaces and the washer mating surface are free of foreign material and corrosion before installation. Install a new washer.
  7. Remove the RH engine support insulator nuts and washer.
    • To install, tighten to 250 Nm (184 lb-ft).
  8. Remove the A/C compressor and power steering pump bracket brace upper nut and install the special tool.
    • To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

  9. NOTE: Use a 10 mm (0.39 in) spring link to connect the Engine Lifting Bracket to the 3-Bar Engine Support.

  10. Install the special tool and lift the engine approximately 75 mm (3 in).


  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
