Thermostat - 4.2L: Removal

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System Draining, Filling and Bleeding  in this article.
  2. Release the clamp and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
  3. Remove the bolts and the thermostat housing.
  4. Remove the gasket and the thermostat.
