Crankshaft Rear Seal with Retainer Plate: Removal

  1. Remove the flexplate. For additional information, refer to Flexplate  in this article.
  2. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan  in this article.
  3. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft oil slinger.

  4. Using the special tools, remove and discard the crankshaft rear seal.

  5. Remove the 6 bolts and the crankshaft rear seal retainer plate.
