Camshaft Roller Follower: Installation

    CAUTION: If the components are to be reinstalled, they must be installed into their original locations.
    NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft roller follower with clean engine oil prior to installation.

  1. Using the special tool, compress the valve spring and install the camshaft roller follower.
    2. NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft roller follower with clean engine oil prior to installation.
  2. Repeat the previous step for each camshaft roller follower being serviced.
  3. Depending on the valve being serviced, install the LH or RH valve cover. For additional information, refer to Valve Cover - LH  or Valve Cover - RH  in this article.
