Oil Pump: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Remove the timing drive components. For additional information, refer to Timing Drive Components  in this article.
  3. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan  in this article.
  4. Remove the 3 bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.
    • Discard the O-ring seal.

  5. Remove the 3 bolts and the oil pump.
