5. Electric Fuel Pump Pressure: Purpose:

The purpose of this test is to verify there is sufficient fuel pressure for starting.
Electric Fuel Pump Pressure
- Verify there is fuel in the tank.
- Check the fuel pump power and ground circuits.
- Measure the fuel pressure at the engine fuel filter housing test port with a 0-101 MPa (0-160 psi) gauge.
- Fuel pump runs for 20 seconds at initial key on and then the pressure decreases.
