P0046 - Turbo/Super Charger Boost Control Solenoid A Circuit Range/Performance

P0046 - TURBO/SUPER CHARGER BOOST CONTROL SOLENOID A CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  The variable geometry turbine (VGT) solenoid driver circuit is monitored by the powertrain control module (PCM) and is not within the calibrated value.
Possible Causes: 
  • Open circuit
  • Control circuit short to voltage
  • Control circuit short to ground
  • Variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) actuator
Diagnostic Aids:  This DTC can be set due to a turbocharger actuator solenoid concern or a poor connection to the turbocharger actuator solenoid.
Application    Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All   refer to PINPOINT TEST AK .
