Removal and Installation

- Remove the driver seat and rear seat cushion. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
- Position the passenger seat fully rearward and recline fully.
- Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Open the 4 passenger assist handle covers.
- Remove the bolts and remove the handles.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Remove the bolts and remove the handles.
- Remove the A-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
- Disconnect the wire harness connector and the 2 pushpins.
- If equipped, disconnect the automatic dimming rear view mirror electrical connectors.
- Remove the B-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to B-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the C-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
- Remove the overhead console.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the sun visors and the sun visor clips.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the 2 headliner pushpins at the rear.
- If equipped, position the headliner forward to gain access to disconnect the roof opening panel motor electrical connector.
- Remove the headliner through the LH rear door.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION:
To avoid bending or crimping the headliner, an assistant is required for this step.
