Removal and Installation

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the fasteners and the lower engine splash shield.
    3. NOTE: Discard the reversing lamp switch gasket.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the reversing lamp switch.
    • To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new reversing lamp switch gasket.
    • Check the transmission fluid and fill as necessary. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION .
