Inspection and Verification - Zephyr

NOTE: When installing a new smart junction box (SJB), it must be configured for this feature, if originally equipped. Refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the daytime running lamps (DRL) following these steps:
    1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
    2. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
    3. Place the transaxle in any gear except PARK.
    4. If the DRL does not operate, make sure the SJB is configured for DRL before proceeding to the next step.
  2. Verify the turn signal lamp operation.
    • Place the multifunction switch in the LH and RH TURN positions.
      • If the turn signal lamps do not operate correctly, refer to TURN SIGNAL AND HAZARD LAMPS  to continue diagnosis of the turn signal lamps.
      • If the turn signals operate correctly, proceed to the next step.
  3. Check the transmission control module (TCM) PIDs.
