Valve Cover - RH: Removal

CAUTION:
During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan, can cause engine failure.
- Remove the lower cowl panel. For additional information refer to COWL PANEL GRILLE .
- Remove the RH ignition coil-on-plugs. For additional information, refer to ENGINE IGNITION - 3.0L (4V) .
- Remove the retaining bolt from the windshield washer bottle and A/C tube.
- Remove the 2 A/C tube retaining bolts and position the A/C tubes aside.
- Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube.
- Disconnect the PCV valve electrical connector.
- Disconnect the power steering hose from the reservoir.
- Remove the 3 power steering reservoir nuts.
- Remove the power steering pressure (PSP) tube bracket-to-reservoir bolt.
- Remove the PSP tube bracket-to-cylinder head bolt.
- Reposition the power steering reservoir and disconnect the reservoir-to-pump hose.
- Remove the power steering reservoir.
- Remove the power steering pressure tube-to-power steering pump banjo bolt and position the power steering pressure tube aside.
- Discard the bolt and seals.
- Disconnect the variable camshaft timing (VCT) solenoid electrical connector.
- Detach the 3 wiring harness retainers from the valve cover stud bolts.
- Remove the nut and the radio frequency interference capacitor from the valve cover stud bolt.
- Detach the 2 pin-type retainers from the valve cover and position the wiring harness aside.
- Remove the 10 bolts, 4 stud bolts and the valve cover.
- Discard the gaskets.
