Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
If equipped, remove the 7 screws and the underbody cover.

NOTE: Lubricate the engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil prior to installing.

Remove the engine oil filter.
- To install tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) and then rotate an additional 180 degrees.
Disconnect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.
Remove the oil pressure sender.
- To install, tighten to 14 Nm (10 lb-ft).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Apply pipe sealant with Teflon® to the oil pressure sender threads.
