Coolant Pump - 3.0L: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the coolant pump belt. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE - 3.0L (4V) .
- Using the special tool, remove the coolant pump drive pulley.
- Disconnect the heater hose from the coolant pump.
- Disconnect the coolant pump-to-engine hose and position aside.
- Remove the 3 bolts from the coolant pump assembly.
- Reposition the coolant pump-to-thermostat housing hose clamp and remove the coolant pump and hose as an assembly.
