Removal and Installation

CAUTION: The electronic throttle body is serviced as a complete assembly. Individual components cannot be serviced.

    All vehicles 

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    2. Early build 

  2. Disconnect the electronic throttle body coolant feed and return hoses.
    1. Disconnect the coolant hoses.
    2. Plug the coolant hoses.

    3. All vehicles 

  3. Disconnect the electronic throttle body electrical connector.
  4. Remove the bolts and the throttle body.
    • To install, tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb-in).
  5. NOTE:  Gasket is press-in-place in manifold.

    6. Remove and discard the throttle body gasket.

  6. Clean and inspect the sealing surfaces.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Install a new throttle body gasket.
