Camshaft - RH: Removal

  1. Remove the timing drive components. For additional information, refer to TIMING DRIVE COMPONENTS .
  2. CAUTION: Cylinder head camshaft bearing caps are numbered to verify that they are assembled in their original positions. If the numbers cannot be seen, mark the camshaft bearing caps prior to removing them.

  3. Loosen the RH camshaft bolts evenly in the sequence shown to allow the camshafts to rise from the cylinder head and remove the camshaft bearing and thrust caps.
  4. Remove the camshafts from the RH cylinder heads.
