Seat Track - With Seat Integrated Restraints (SIR): Removal

    All seats 

  1. Remove the affected seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) .
  2. Remove the seat adjuster control knobs, covers and the seat side trim panel screws.
    1. Remove the seat recliner lever cover screw and cover.
    2. Pull to remove the lumbar control knob.
    3. Remove the 3 seat side trim panel attachment screws.

  3. Remove the 2 screws securing the lumbar adjuster control to the seat track riser.
    • Push the lumbar adjuster control inward to provide clearance for trim panel removal.

  4. Heated seats 

  5. Disconnect the heated seat switch electrical connector.

  6. Pull the rearward lower corner of the side shield to disengage the metal retaining clip.
  7. CAUTION: Bend the side shield slightly to make sure the shield is not scratched by the recliner lever.
  8. Remove the side shield cover.
  9. Power seats 

  10. Disconnect the seat control switch electrical connector.

  11. All seats 

  12. Remove the seat cushion assembly. For additional information, refer to SEAT CUSHION - FRONT, WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) .
  13. Remove the seat backrest assembly. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONT, WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) .
  14. Manual seats 

    NOTE: Do not reuse pushclips. Install new units.

  15. Detach the seat assist spring and remove 2 pushclips securing the manual fore/aft adjuster bar.
  16. Power seats 

  17. Disconnect the seat actuator motor electrical connector.

  18. Manual seats 

  19. Remove the 7 screws (4 outboard side, 3 inboard side) securing the seat adjuster tracks to the seat pedestal frame.
