Removal and Installation

- Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, BUCKET AND 40 PERCENT .
- Remove the front seat backrest adjust handle.
- Remove the screw.
- Remove the front seat backrest adjust handle.
- Pull the front seat lumbar support knob to remove.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the pin-type retainer on the back of the front seat track shield.
- Remove the 2 screws on the bottom of the front seat track shield.
- Disconnect the heat control switch electrical connector, then remove the screws on the seat control switch.
- Remove the 2 lumbar actuator screws.
- Unclip the lumbar control cable from actuator.
- Disconnect seat back heating element wire.
- Unclip the seat backrest J-clip.
- Position the upholstery and remove the bolts.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
- Separate and remove the seat backrest.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Do not damage the plastic pivot bushing when removing the seat backrest. Pull the front seat backrest away from the seat hinge and feed the lumbar cable and heating element wire through the seat cushion opening.
