Removal and Installation

NOTE: New bolts must be installed, do not reuse the bolts that were removed. The stud and nut can be reused.

NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.

Vehicles with second row center console

Remove the center console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .

All vehicles

Remove the safety belt buckles from the retaining strap on both rear seats.

Remove and discard the 2 seat riser-to-floor front bolts (1 shown).
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

Remove the 2 seat riser-to-floor rear nuts (1 shown).
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

Position the front seats forward for access to remove the rear seats.

NOTE: Removing the rear seat requires more than one technician.

Lift the rear seats off of the floor and rotate forward 180 degrees.
Remove the seats from the vehicle.

NOTE: Left seat shown, right seat similar.

Remove the nuts for the seat riser on the affected seat.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

Remove the 4 bolts for the affected seat.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belt is not twisted prior to installation.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
