Pinpoint Test B: The Power Seat Is Inoperative - Vehicles With Sir

  1. B1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE SEAT SWITCH 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Driver Seat Control Switch C369 or Passenger Seat Control Switch C330.
    • Measure the voltage between driver seat control switch C369-7, circuit 566 (DG) or passenger seat control switch C330-7, circuit 51 (BK/WH), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes  : Go to B2.

    No  : VERIFY central junction box (CJB) fuse 112 (30A) (driver) or 114 (30A) (passenger) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 566 (DG) (driver) or circuit 51 (BK/WH) (passenger). TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. B2 CHECK 57 (BK) CIRCUIT FOR OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between driver seat control switch C369-1, circuit 57 (BK) or passenger seat control switch 3330-1, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes  : INSTALL a new seat control switch. REFER to SEAT CONTROL SWITCH - WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) . TEST the system for normal operation.

    No  : REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation.
