Antenna Lead-in Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the antenna base. For additional information, refer to ANTENNA BASE .
  2. Position the RH front fender splash shield away from the bulkhead.
    1. Remove the 2 nuts.
    2. Remove the screws.
    3. Remove the pin-type retainers.
    4. Position the RH front fender splash shield away from the bulkhead.

  3. Remove the pin-type retainer and the lower RH A-pillar trim panel.

  4. Separate the antenna lead-in cable grommet from the bulkhead and pull the excess cable into the passenger compartment.

  5. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to AUDIO UNIT .
  6. NOTE: This vehicle uses an antenna lead-in cable that is attached to the instrument panel reinforcement and the defroster air duct. Do not remove the original antenna lead-in cable from the vehicle.
  7. Cut and remove the original antenna lead-in cable connectors and excess cable. Secure the remaining cable ends to avoid rattles or identification problems.
