Antenna Lead-in Cable: Removal

- Remove the antenna base. For additional information, refer to ANTENNA BASE .
- Position the RH front fender splash shield away from the bulkhead.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the pin-type retainers.
- Position the RH front fender splash shield away from the bulkhead.
- Remove the pin-type retainer and the lower RH A-pillar trim panel.
- Separate the antenna lead-in cable grommet from the bulkhead and pull the excess cable into the passenger compartment.
- Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to AUDIO UNIT .
- Cut and remove the original antenna lead-in cable connectors and excess cable. Secure the remaining cable ends to avoid rattles or identification problems.
NOTE:
This vehicle uses an antenna lead-in cable that is attached to the instrument panel reinforcement and the defroster air duct. Do not remove the original antenna lead-in cable from the vehicle.
