Transmission Support Crossmember: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connection from the transmission support crossmember.

  3. Support the transmission.
  4. Remove the transmission insulator nuts.

  5. Remove the nuts and bolts retaining the gusset to the frame.

  6. Remove the nuts and bolts retaining the gusset to the transmission support crossmember, then remove the gusset.

  7. Remove the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (RH side).

  8. Remove the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (LH side).
    • Position the lines to access the nuts and bolts.

  9. Remove the transmission support crossmember.
