Transmission Support Crossmember: Installation

    NOTE: Refer to SPECIFICATIONS  for transmission support crossmember nut and bolt applications.

  1. Position the transmission support crossmember and loosely install the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (LH side).
  2. Loosely install the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (RH side).

  3. Tighten the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (LH side).
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (67 lb-ft).

  4. NOTE: Make sure to install the transmission crossmember gusset to transmission crossmember bolts as shown to avoid interference with the exhaust.

  5. Loosely install the nuts and bolts retaining the transmission crossmember gusset to the transmission support crossmember.
  6. Loosely install the nuts and bolts retaining the transmission crossmember gusset to the frame.

  7. Tighten the nuts and bolts retaining the transmission crossmember gusset to the frame.
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (67 lb-ft).

  8. Tighten the transmission support crossmember nuts and bolts (RH side).
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (67 lb-ft).

  9. Tighten the nuts and bolts retaining the gusset to the transmission support crossmember.
    • Tighten to 90 Nm (67 lb-ft).

  10. Install new transmission support insulator nuts.
    • Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).

  11. Remove the support from the transmission.
  12. Connect the electrical connection to the transmission support crossmember.

  13. Lower the vehicle.
