Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - TorqShift: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the 4 secondary latches from the remote mount transmission fluid filter housing.

  3. Using the special tool, disconnect the fluid cooler tubes from the remote mount transmission fluid filter housing.

  4. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the transmission case.

  5. Remove the nut, the fluid cooler tube bracket and the fluid cooler tubes.

  6. Remove the 3 bolts from the remote mounted transmission oil filter bracket.

  7. Remove the inlet and outlet secondary latches from the radiator in-tank reservoir.

  8. Remove the inlet and outlet tubes from the auxiliary transmission fluid oil-to-air (OTA) cooler and radiator in-tank reservoir.
    1. Remove the cooler tube clips.
    2. Using the special tool, remove the inlet and outlet tubes from the radiator in-tank reservoir.
    3. Remove the constant tension clamp from the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler OTA outlet and disconnect the hose.
    4. Remove the constant tension clamp from the fluid filter return inlet tube and disconnect the hose.
