Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Heater Element - 5.4L: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) heater element electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the quick connect couplings and remove the PCV tube. For additional information refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL .
  4. Remove the bolts and the PCV heater element.
    • Discard the O-ring seal.
