Removal and Installation

- Disconnect the adjustable brake pedal drive cable.
- Remove the brake pedal cotter pin cover and pin.
- Slide the stoplamp switch and booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.
- Remove the 2 brake pedal-to-column brace nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 brake pedal-to-booster nuts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Position the brake booster assembly forward enough to allow the brake pedal bracket to clear the booster studs.
- Remove the brake pedal and bracket.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
