Throttle Body - Spacer: Installation

  1. Position a new TB spacer gasket, the TB spacer and tighten the 4 lower bolts in 2 stages:
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
    • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
  2. Install the 2 upper TB spacer bolts in 2 stages:
    • Stage 1: Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
    • Stage 2: Tighten an additional 90 degrees.
  3. Install the PCV heated element and the 2 screws.
  4. Connect the brake booster vacuum hose.
  5. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve quick connect coupling to the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL .
  6. Connect the PCV tube quick connect coupling to the TB spacer. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL .
  7. Connect the main vacuum harness to the TB spacer.
  8. Install the TB. For additional information, refer to THROTTLE BODY .
  9. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
