Connecting Rod Large End Bore

Tighten the bolts to specification, then measure the bore in 2 directions. The difference is the connecting rod bore out-of-round. Verify the out-of-round is within specification.
- Refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS , ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS for appropriate procedure.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to ENGINE - 5.4L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS , ENGINE - 6.0L DIESEL -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS or ENGINE - 6.8L (3V) -- F250-F550 SUPER DUTY PICKUPS for appropriate procedure.
