Transfer Case Rear Output Shaft Seal: Installation

- Using the special tools, install a new rear output seal.
- Install the rear flange and a new rear output nut.
- Use the special tool to prevent the flange from turning.
- Tighten to 251 Nm (186 lb-ft).
- Connect the rear driveshaft to the transfer case.
- Install the 4 new bolts.
- Tighten to 102 Nm (75 lb-ft).
- Check and, if necessary, fill the transfer case with the specified fluid to the specified level. For additional information, refer to TRANSFER CASE DRAINING AND FILLING .
- Lower the vehicle.
CAUTION:
Align the index marks.
