Removal and Installation

- Remove the headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR LIGHTING .
- Remove the fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FENDER SPLASH SHIELD .
- If equipped, remove the fender moulding. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- If equipped, remove the rocker panel moulding. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Remove the antenna mast and the antenna base fender grommet (from Right fender).
- If equipped, remove the side turn indicator.
- Push the side turn indicator rearward.
- Pull outward from the front and remove the side turn indicator.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the 2 lower fender bolts.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Remove the rear fender bolt.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).NOTE: The front door must be open to gain access to the rear fender bolt.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Remove the radiator support brace fender bolt.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 upper fender bolts and the front fender.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).NOTE: On the RH side, the antenna base is mounted to the body inside the fender opening. The RH fender must be lifted over the base during removal.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
