Transaxle Cooling

All vehicles with automatic transmissions are equipped with a transmission fluid cooler integral to the radiator which cannot be repaired separately. The integral transmission fluid cooler transfers heat from the transmission fluid to the engine coolant. The auxiliary transmission fluid cooler transfers heat from the transmission fluid to the outside air.

The transmission fluid cooling system, with an auxiliary transmission fluid cooler, consists of the following:
