Fuel Lines - 3.0L (4V): Installation

  1. Install the fuel supply tube and fuel vapor tubes.
    • Make sure the retainer clips snap into place when installing onto the studs. Pull on the clips to make sure they are correctly seated.
    2. NOTE: Make sure the tubes are correctly snapped into the clip and the clip is snapped securely into the subframe.
  2. Install the fuel supply and fuel vapor tubes into the frame-mounted retainer clips.
  3. Connect the fuel supply jumper tube and fuel vapor tube quick connect couplings. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  4. Connect the fuel vapor tube quick connect coupling to the EVAP canister purge valve. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  5. Install the fuel vapor tube.
    • Attach the fuel vapor tube retainer.
  6. Connect the fuel vapor tube quick connect coupling to the EVAP canister purge valve. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  7. Connect the fuel vapor tube to the intake manifold.
    • Reposition the clamp.
  8. Install the fuel supply tube and connect the quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  9. Connect the fuel tube quick connect coupling. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
  10. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING - 3.0L (4V) .
  11. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  12. Turn the ignition key to the ON position to pressurize the fuel system.
  13. Visually inspect the fuel system for leaks.
