Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor

  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  3. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
  4. Remove the ECT sensor.
    • Pull upward on the locking tab.
    • Rotate the sensor counterclockwise and remove.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
