Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) vacuum regulator valve electrical connector.
  3. Disconnect the vacuum tube fittings from the EGR vacuum regulator valve.
  4. Remove the nut and detach the wiring retainer from the EGR vacuum regulator valve stud bolt.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
  5. Remove the 2 stud bolts and the EGR vacuum regulator valve.
    • To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
