Test C: Power Door Locks Only Operate One Way

NOTE:
After making any repairs, retest system for proper operation.
- Using driver's side power door lock switch, lock and unlock doors. If LOCK position is inoperative, go to next step. If UNLOCK position is inoperative, go to step 6.
- Remove driver's side door trim panel. Disconnect driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 7 (Pink/Yellow wire). See Figure. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to step 5.
- Remove passenger's side door trim panel. Disconnect passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605. Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 7 (Pink/Yellow wire). See Figure. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Yellow wire between passenger's side power door lock switch and driver's side power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 7 (Pink/Black wire). See Figure. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace passenger's side power door lock switch. See POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Black wire between passenger's side power door lock switch and driver's side power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 8 (Black wire). See Figure. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace driver's side power door lock switch. See POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between driver's side power door lock switch and ground. Ground point is located behind right kick panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 3 (Pink/Light Green wire). See Figure. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to step 9.
- Disconnect passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605. Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 3 (Pink/Light Green wire). See Figure. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Light Green wire between passenger's side power door lock switch and driver's side power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 3 (Pink/Orange wire). See Figure. If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace passenger's side power door lock switch. See POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Orange wire between passenger's side power door lock switch and appropriate door lock actuator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 2 (Black wire). See Figure. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace driver's side power door lock switch. See POWER DOOR LOCK SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between driver's side power door lock switch and ground. Ground point is located behind right kick panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
