Test B: All Power Door Locks Inoperative

NOTE:
This test is for vehicles without RKE only. For vehicles with RKE, see TEST G: ALL POWER DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVE .
NOTE:
After making any repairs, retest system for proper operation.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove and disconnect driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure voltage between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 4 (Black/White wire). See Fig 1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Black/White wire between battery junction box and driver's side door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance between ground and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminals No. 2 and 8 (both Black wires). See Fig 1. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in appropriate Black wire between driver's side door lock switch and ground. Ground point is located behind right kick panel. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Remove and disconnect passenger's side power door lock actuator harness connector C603. Connect driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side power door lock actuator harness connector C603 Pink/Orange wire terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 7.
- Remove and disconnect passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605. Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 2 (Pink/Light Green wire). See Fig 1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 6.
- Disconnect driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505. Measure resistance in Pink/Light Green wire between driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 3 and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 2. See Fig 1. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace driver's side door lock switch and retest system for proper operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Light Green wire between driver's side door lock switch and passenger's side power door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance in Pink/Orange wire between passenger's side door lock actuator harness connector C603 and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 3. See Fig 1. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace passenger's side power door lock switch and retest system for proper operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Orange wire between right power door lock switch and passenger's side door lock actuator.
- Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side door lock actuator harness connector Pink/Black wire terminal. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, check for loose connections or bad splice S601. Splice S601 is located by passenger's side door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Disconnect passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605. Measure resistance between ground and passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 8 (Pink/Yellow wire). See Fig 1. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to step 10.
- Measure resistance in Pink/Yellow wire between passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 8 and driver's side door lock switch harness connector C505 terminal No. 7. See Fig 1. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace driver's side door lock switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Yellow wire between passenger's side power door lock switch and driver's side door lock switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- Measure resistance in Pink/Black wire between passenger's side door lock switch harness connector C605 terminal No. 7 and passenger's side door lock actuator harness connector C603. See Fig 1. If resistance 5 ohms or less, replace passenger's side door lock switch and retest for proper operation. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open in Pink/Black wire between passenger's side door lock switch and passenger's side door lock actuator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
