Removal and Installation

Position the steering wheel in the straight-ahead position and remove the ignition key.
- Rotate the steering wheel until the steering column locks into position.
De-power the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
Open the cover on the underside of the steering wheel.
Remove the steering wheel pinion bolt.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft).
Remove the steering wheel.
1. Position the steering wheel rearward.
2. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Re-power the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .
