Removal and Installation

CAUTION:
While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of contaminants or premature failure of the power steering components can result.
- Drain the power steering fluid into a suitable drain pan.
- Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to BUMPERS .
- Release the power steering fluid cooler hose clamp and disconnect the power steering fluid cooler-to-fluid reservoir hose.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the power steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose.
- Remove the 2 power steering fluid cooler nuts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 power steering fluid cooler bolts.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- Remove the power steering fluid cooler.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
