Subframe - Rear: Installation

    All vehicles 

  1. With an assistant, position the rear subframe and install the bolts.
    • To install, tighten to:
      • 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) for rearward bolts.
      • 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) for forward bolts.
  2. Install a new exhaust hanger on the subframe.
  3. NOTE: The vehicle must be at ride height before tightening the bolts.
  4. Position the 4 rear control arms into the subframe.
    • Loosely install the bolts.
  5. Vehicles with AWD 

  6. Install the rear axle assembly. For additional information, refer to REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL .
  7. All vehicles 

  8. Tighten the 4 rear control arms bolts.
    • Tighten to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).
