Test D: No Power In Run Position

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect ignition switch harness connector C250. Measure voltage between ground and ignition switch harness connector C250 terminals B1 (Yellow wire), B3 (Yellow wire), B4 (Light Green/Violet wire) and B5 (Light Green/Violet wire). See Figure. If battery voltage exists at all terminals, test ignition switch. See IGNITION SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If ignition switch is faulty, replace ignition switch and retest system. See IGNITION SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If battery voltage does not exist at any terminal, repair open in appropriate wire(s). See POWER DISTRIBUTION in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL.
