Fuel Rail: Installation

- Install the fuel injectors and the retainer clips.CAUTION: Use O-ring seals that are made of special fuel-resistant material. Use of ordinary O-rings can cause the fuel system to leak. Do not reuse the O-ring seals.NOTE: Install new fuel injector O-ring seals and lubricate them with clean engine oil.
- If originally equipped, position the fuel rail spacers.
- Install the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly.
- Install the fuel rail bolts and attach the wiring retainers.
- Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.
- Connect the fuel rail pressure and temperature vacuum tube and electrical connector.
- Connect the fuel supply tube quick connect coupling at the fuel rail. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION .
- Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
