Rear Drive Shaft (Two-Piece): Installation

- Using the index marks made upon removal, position the front drive shaft to the parking brake assembly. Install the 4 coupling shaft "U" joint retainer bolts. Tighten coupling shaft "U" joint retainer-to-parking brake assembly bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . See Figure. Release the parking brake. Support the coupling shaft, and position the center bearing support and bracket.
- Install the center bearing support bracket bolts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install the rear drive shaft section. Align the index marks and install the 4 drive shaft-to-rear axle bolts and tighten to specification. If NEW bolts are not available, coat the threads of the original bolts with sealer. Remove the supports, and lower the vehicle.
