Damaged, out of adjustment or misassembled	Inspect and repair as required. Verify linkage adjustment. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE-TRANSMISSION EXTERNAL CONTROLS - CD4E . After repairing linkage, verify that the transmission range (TR) sensor is correctly adjusted.
Manual control lever damaged, park mechanism damaged, shaft bent, detent lever shaft bore (in case) damaged, detent spring bent/damaged, nut loose	Inspect for damage. Repair as required.
Main Control	-
Bolts out of torque specification	Adjust bolts to specification.
