Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  2. Remove the 3 screws, the pin-type retainer and the upper and lower snow shield.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and the IAC valve.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
    • Inspect the gasket and install new as necessary.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
